Report of Workshop on ENFORCEMENT OF IPRs

With an objective to acquaint the students with knowledge of enforcement procedure of Intellectual Property Rights , theResearch and Extension lecture committee of DPG DEGREE COLLEGE organized a one day workshop for UG students in the departmental seminar hall on 16.05.2022.

Then, Dr Priyanka , HOD of commerce department invited respected Principal sir- Dr S.S. Boken to express his thoughts regarding the Workshop. The Key note Speaker – Mr. Naresh Kumar was honourably welcomed by highly regarded Principal Sir. He also encouraged all the participants with his words of wisdom.

In the first session Mr. Naresh Kumar presenting a PowerPoint presentation and introduced our participants to the basic meaning and concept of patents, copyrights and trademarks.

In next session the speaker used interactive method for introducing participants coming from different field with the latest laws and amendmentsin  patents and copyrights along with that clarified the difference between the same.

Lastly students asked their doubt and also provided feedback regarding the workshop.

This workshop was organized under the guidance of convenor Dr. Amita Singh, Convenor with assistance of member of Research & Extension Lecture committee.

This workshop will provide the participants with an understanding of IP laws and the procedure to avoid the creation of barriers to legitimate trade. The workshop consisted of number of sessions in which presentations on various aspects of IPR were given by the experts and the session was followed by a discussion.

The workshop was relevant to the title and were well-appreciated by the students. After completion of this workshop students have felt encouraged to explore these areas further.
