Botany Department

The Botany department basically focused on fundamental research and teaching on plants populations, communities and ecosystems as they are the key component of the environment. Our faculty research focus on basic and applied subjects both relevant to the state, nation and globe. Our vision is to conduct innovative research, teaching and outreach on the patterns and processes of life with a focus on plants and their environments and let the students expose to the diversity amongst life forms and make them aware about the natural resources and environment and the importance of conversing it. Our mission is to create an environment of excellence by attracting and supporting the outstanding students, faculty and staff needed to sustain our vision.
